AI and Behavior Tree Update


For Coding 2, we had to create an AI which uses a behavior tree to move and percept the world around it.

It can listen to the players footsteps, and it tries to investigate them.

It can see the player, which makes the AI enter a chase, where it follows the player for 6 seconds after the last sighting, giving the player time to hide.

The AI also has a patrol spline, the AI will enter patrol whenever it is no longer investigating and when it loses the player during a chase.
